What is the Opiate Task Force?
The Clermont County Opiate Task Force is a partnership whose mission is to minimize opiate misuse, distribution, addiction, overdose and death in Clermont County. We encourage all citizens to join us on the second Thursday of every month from 2-3:30 p.m. at our monthly meeting. Please check the calendar of events for the location. We need a community to help fight this crisis.
The Opiate Task Force was formed in June of 2013 after the State of Ohio declared Clermont County a “hot spot” for opiate abuse and unintentional opiate overdoses. The Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services and the Ohio Association of County Behavioral Health Authorities provided funding to start the Task Force.
The Task Force is designed to bring community members and resources together from all sectors affected by opiate issues to help develop solutions to the problem. Community sectors involved in the Task Force include representatives from the following:
